I always found the cartoon-art on the side of the cabinets a little bit disturbing actually. Not in a provocative or "too sexy" way, but in the same way that some Japanese art/anime just looks creepy. I knew they were going for the "1920's flapper/dancer" look with the shapely legs and all, much like Betty Boop, but it always seemed weird to me. It may be the fact that they went with the 2-color stencil-painted artwork, and it just wasn't that good. A full-color vinyl sticker or just plain better artwork would have helped.
