Engadget has written about a group that claims to have developed a modchip for the xbox 360 called the Devil360. It's just a rumour but I thought I'd share this with you guys. If this were true one could expect M$ hunting down these folk.
With the integration of online services in the 360, MS made sure hackers are going to have a hard time. What use is a mod chip if you can't play online? I suppose a modded 360 could be interesting as a media player, but when MS switched CPUs the XBMC2 route became effectively cut off, as it's impossible to use the windows codecs for playback now. For the time being, equipping your 360 with a modchip is going to offer you a diluted experience at best.
