Nice pumpkin, Bill! Did your daughters make it?
I wonder if the marketing teams are correct in pushing the exercise aspect of the Kinect so much. It's almost designed (IMO) to get parents interested; the liberal types who worry that their kids will get fat if they play "lazy" videogames too much. If I were a kid and saw that poster I would stay away from Kinect for sure. It's like a healthy green vegetable!!! :)
I still think there's so many awesome things you can do with Kinect that we haven't seen yet. It'll probably come out of an indie I imagine. I notice Microsoft is having a big contest ($20,000 for the best hack).
We should get some more stuff soon.. now that Sony said they did 9 million move and Ms has said 10 million Kinect.. MS has to up that number soon, cant be that close to the failure of MOVE in numbers.. The $99 black friday deal should have moved some I would think.. I did see Sat night ( i went out to try pick up a copy of Heavy Rain for $15... or a few otehrs I had my eye on.. ) there where still bundles at wallmart for $99.. no other games.. damn.. walmart was picked clean and so was target.. hehe except Move (camera and vpth parts for $50) and kinect (3 games and bar for $99).. both stores had um.. The Star Wars light saber game is out soon isnt it? that should push some units.. and get some excitment going... I know the gladiator game with swords for move is actually kinda fun... reminds me of SUper Spy and Crossed swords for the Neo geo.. so the Star Wars game should be cool..
Star wars light saber game? Oh man, can you say star wars kid!
now this is cool...
Kinect 2 Lipreading! and Im not being sarcastic.. I'm not that big on actual lip reading but the sofistication that brings to the table.. Again, the applications are amazing... All i can think is we are one stp closer to that Jonny Menomic stuff.. acutally reading our fingers good enouhg for keyboard use would be a game changer in my mind.
