For me: FPS: Started off with

For me:

FPS:
Started off with Wolf3D & Magic Carpet 1

Adventure:
Started off with Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade.

RTS:
Started off with RedAlert2.

RPG:
Started off with -hard to remember, but must have been- Syndicate Wars.

These games effected me as a child. Hehe, & ever since then, I'm just interested in how the game mechanics works. What's new or what's not really working... A critique so to speak. But all games have their flaws, but most of the time very enjoyable. Some of the glitches are very random & are so damn funny. Love 'em.

I have a Steam collection. Unfortunately. :( All bargains, but when do you ever get to play those?

I'd like to get a shelf of

I'd like to get a shelf of games going. Much like Matts... But my boxes are not in good condition. I've tried to take care of them but moving house a few times takes it's toll.

I actualy havent too big backlog maybe 40 pieces, mostly old ones, i can still win!
This year there were maybe 8 or 10 games, in mid 90s there was 5+ good games very month.

that makes me think.. I used to play the ones i loved over and over. I know I have played DUNE II (each faction) through at least 15 times.. red Alert II 5 or 6. Might & Magic III at least 3 or 4. Heratic (id/doom clone) with each class a couple times. Nowdays... wow.. finishing a game is almost impossible.. Dragons Age, mass effect, Dues Ex, is about it.. Now you could consider Fall out 3 , fallout Vegas, Borderlands, etc all finished. but I tend to leave the final quest at the 'amost" done area so i can keep exploring everyting else.. And as the Fallout games have completly differnt endings with faction changes.. i have takent he factions I disliked and finished it with them so i can see ending ( so tech, yes i have finished it, and its how the MAIN playthoruhg is at the END (and i know it)). But nowdays.. i ahvent thought of firing up DUNE II in ages.. I think i have begain to understand I need to ehck otu the new stuff instead of replaying hte old.. I do this with TV (netflix) too.. i watch old movies i ahve seen several times instead of new ones.. why?

But I have the new batman game (i really enjoyed the old one) i ahve spent maybe 15 minutes with it, Dark Souls (demons souls was maybe my favorite gameof the last few years) and i have looked a few minutes at it. Dungeon defenders.. maybe 45 minutes.. Dungeon Siege III.. 30 or so minutes/ Shogun II.. an hour, Civilzation 5 (45 minutes), etc.. Now i dont consider any of these games bad.. in fact i enjoy um all but .. I tend to play 1 or 2 games I really like and only glance at the others.. and soon you have such a batch of "good" games you forget... I was looking throuhg my steam list and had completly forgotten i had the New batman game.. And we wont even talk about the new game i havent played a singel minute of.

Yeah as I got older I

Yeah as I got older I realised I'm playing less and less video games but I'm keeping buying new ones and ended up with a substantial backlog of games to play.

In the old days I would just play them and decide if I like them or not if I liked them I'd most likely complete them and if I didn't like them I'd just sell them or not buy them in the first place as we used to rent games quite a lot back then them .
But these days I'm just hoarding them not even playing them

Lies! I know for a fact you use your riches to pay someone overseas to play all the games you cover for you!

Well, I make videos to make

Well, I make videos to make people happy, so if being a pinhead in public is making him happy, why not?

I do admit that I often feel like I haven't spent enough time with some games. If you do this on a weekly basis, you just don't have the 3-4 months it would take to get all the way through some of these CRPGs. It's fine if it's one I played as a kid, but I'm through most of those now and doing games I never played until recently. So it's either quit making the show or do the best I can with the time I have available. I can't imagine many folks would be willing to do as much as I do, even.
