06/28/2006 - UPDATE - LAST DAY IS THURSDAY, 06/29/2006, SO VOTE NOW!!!
Please VOTE for entry 1, 2, 3 or 4 by responding in this thread. I'll keep a running count. Pay attention to the LOGO more than the extraneous stuff at this point. Choose your favorite logo for the Website, branding, merchandise, etc. Basically the best all around choice. If you have ideas how to use the other two entries, we're all ears as we like them all! (and yes, please vote for your OWN if you want)
Voting will end around mid-week...
AA logo submission 5 black: ENTRY 1
AA logo submission 5 white: ENTRY 1
Mike Banner Capital A: ENTRY 2
Mike Banner Negative Blue-ish: ENTRY 2
Logo Idea with Drop Shadow 2 (for black backgrounds): ENTRY 3
Logo Idea with Drop Shadow 1: ENTRY 3
Elizabeth's Logo: ENTRY 4
Even though I did number 3 and like number 2 (the negative effect is stunning) a great deal, my vote is for #1.
Number 1: 1 Vote (Bill Loguidice)
Number 2: 2 Votes (Heyspider, Mike Gupta)
Number 3: 1 Vote (Seb)

I vote for Number 2.
I abstain from voting. (Reason is that I can't honestly say I *really* like any of the 3 choices. (nor any others of the first round, for that matter)
I'm having a very hard time deciding which one I like best--but I'm not complaining about having good options to choose from. Everyone has done a great job!
I think I'd like to get a look at #3 without the shadow effect. The shadow seems a bit heavy and may be affecting it too strongly. #1 has a very nice retro effect going with the logo and definitely stands out. Mike's entry is simpler, but also seems more suave. I really like the gray fill of the "arcade," and the white and blue negatives work well. Bill has a great idea with the circuit board fill.
I'm a bit intrigued by Mr. Custard's response. Care to elaborate, Mr. Custard? I'd be interested to hear what your criticisms are; perhaps they can be used to help us revise the logos.
I think I'll reserve my vote until others have chimed in. :-)
I guess this is my obligatory vote for my submission, number 2. Though all the entries are fantastic.
MrCustard, please elaborate.

I was thinking the same thing. A little less shadow, maybe rework the "videogames and computers" a bit to make it more readable. I could go on nitpicking but overall it looks good to me. My vote goes to #3. Nice job!
I had actually commented about the drop shadow when I first roughed the idea. It is a bit heavy. In any case, let's not forget, we're voting for the idea, which will result in the final "winner". Once we select one, we can then tweak away.
And yes, if someone is strongly against ALL entries, that is their right. However, if you can provide any ideas on how to modify one of the current three into something you might like, we'd love to hear it. Nothing is static at this point. Obviously logo by committee is not the best way of doing it, but certainly we can get a consensus of liking certain ideas than modifying it where it's as strong as it will be. After all, no logo is perfect or pleases everyone, but if the product is good, as long as the logo doesn't HURT or DETRACT from the product, that's fine too.
In any case, I'll keep on updating my original vote tally down below until it gets too far down the list, and just write a new one. Thanks everyone, submitters and voters! We truly do value the help.

I had typed out my reasoning, and next thing, the browser crashed. Will try again tomorrow.
Well, I've gone back and forth. I originally liked number 3, however, I've got to now select number 1. I like the Retro lettering with the dark backbround. They're all great.
I'll stick with number 1 though.
Cheers
