This is incredible..

This is fantastic! I love seeing infographics like this. I wonder if there is any way these people could be interviewed. That would be an interesting book I think.

I agree and I think it wouldn't be terribly difficult to interview most of these women. While interview books tend to do poorly, I think with the unique focus on female movers and shakers, it would do well. It's a shame I'm booked through most of 2014, but certainly it's an idea worth pursuing.

I was just thinking about this topic, cool to see the info right here! (specifically % of women in design/programming/art)

I know there isn't much science behind it, but does anyone know a good place where they talk about why change is so slow and theories of how to change it? My personal belief is that something drastic has to happen or we will see just small incremental changes in the coming years. Its not that gender diversity is a big issue in game development, but diversity in general. You would be surprised how many times things happen in development because the developers never stopped to consider any alternatives.

I know they get asked these questions frequently so you can look up interviews, but often they speak from a personal perspective because well, its not often you have a bunch of them in the same team.
