Midway Offers Free Online Arcade Games--Satan's Hollow, Sinistar, Robotron, and more!

I have some info that's sure to please many folks here at Armchair Arcade: Midway is offering ten classic games playable for free right in your browser. These conversions use Macromedia Shockwave to very good effect--there's even support for joysticks. The games are Bubbles, Defender, Joust II, Rampage, Robotron, Satan's Hollow, Sinistar, Spyhunter, and Tapper. All of these appear to be high-quality conversions, though I'm eager to hear what you guys think. Check them out and let us know!

um .... not exactly news

These games have been freely available at www.midway.com for at least five years. This is not news.

Heh

Hmm...It appears you're correct, flojo. I changed the post to "info" instead of "news." :-)

Still, it was news to me! And apparently news to these guys as well!

How can I sign in without Facebook? I love these games especially "satan"s hollow" but have no acess. Sorry, I'm just not a Facebook person.

If you want to join Armchair Arcade, use the Contact form. If you want to play the Midway games, just go to www.midwayarcade.com. Unfortunately, it looks like they no longer offer Satan's Hollow for whatever reason. You can try here, though: http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/?cx=partner-pub-3830747272780728%3Aqd...

Looks like WB bought them out and have their own agenda that does not include classic games. :-(
