In an earlier review for the Beotto CableButton Cable Management System, I concluded, “When you place a cable in the slot, it makes a satisfying click and stays in place without being difficult to take right back out. This is a simple, low cost product that serves a real purpose and does its job well.” C-Mall Canada/AnthroDesk has a strikingly similar product available, save for a few key differences, with which I can draw the same positive conclusion.
First, instead of the nine rubbery black blobs shipped with Beotto’s product, this product ships three to a pack. Second, instead of the single cable cavity, these feature dual channels, holding up to two cables at a time. As with the other product, these cavities can each easily hold a standard size USB cable thickness or four slightly thinner gauge cables (like speaker or headphone wires) in pairs. The adhesive on the back of the blob keeps it in place, be it mounted horizontally or vertically on a surface. Since the adhesive is 3M brand, when you’re ready to remove the blob, it comes right off and shouldn’t damage most surfaces when doing so.
Despite being of Canadian origin, I had no problem getting my order shipped here to the US from Amazon.ca. These are also available direct from AnthroDesk’s Canadian Website, where standing desks, similar to the one I use in my home office, are also featured. In fact, it’s not surprising that this product is associated with standing desks, because I can tell you from personal experience the raising and lowering of the surface can wreak havoc on improperly secured cables.
As for the warranty, you get a 30 day, no-questions asked money back guarantee. Peace of mind or not, however, I can’t imagine why you’d want to return it, since it does exactly what it sets out to do.
Special thanks to C-Mall Canada for the review product.
