OK, first off, for those who just came for the coupon code, it’s ACA. Just enter it when checking out on the EwinRacing Website (select from US or EU depending upon your location) and you’ll get 10% off your order! For everyone else, read on to see why you will almost certainly want one of these premium chairs.
While EwinRacing, aka EWIN or E-Win, may not be a name that is immediately recognizable – they were after all only founded in 2016 after previously being an OEM office chair manufacturer – it’s clear this is a company to be reckoned with in gaming chairs. They already have four major series of premium chairs to choose from, including Champion, Calling, Hero, and Flash, and also make a nifty tablet stand. Pricing is roughly in order from lowest to highest, with the Champion and Calling series chairs being in a lower price grouping than the Hero and Flash series chairs. The actual price gap between the least expensive chair and the most expensive chair is less than $200, however, so if you like one of the many style choices among the higher end models, the difference in price should not put any of them out of consideration.
For my own gaming chair, I chose the “Ewin Flash Series Ergonomic Normal Size Computer Gaming Office Chair with Pillows – FLNC” model in white. It’s also available in blue or red. As the “Normal Size” in the name implies, the Flash series is also available at the same pricing in XL for big and tall individuals. It is one of the best alternatives to the much more expensive DX Racer chair for large people, as Ergonomic Trends writes in this review.
The chair arrived well packaged in a single 24 kg/53 lbs box. All parts, including the required hex key to tighten various parts, are included. In fact, the package is so complete, they even include gloves, which you can use to protect your hands and help your grip. While we appreciated the touch, when my wife and I took turns assembling the chair – her in the beginning and me the middle and end – we preferred to let our hands breathe rather than keep them in the gloves. Our hands and the chair remained undamaged.
Although the full-color assembly instructions don’t necessarily use the best English, it’s so well-illustrated and so straightforward that we ran into no issues putting the chair together. Frankly, I hate building stuff like this, but the process went so smoothly that I really didn’t mind. I’d estimate that the whole process – which again, we did individually in separate stages – took maybe 30 minutes total. The fact that this can be assembled solo is a big plus.
Once together, the chair is really a sight to behold. While photos do it some justice, it’s hard to appreciate how nice the chair is unless you get to sit on it and interact with its controls. The seat can be raised and lowered, the chair back can almost fully recline, there’s a tilt lock and tilt control mechanism, and the armrests can be raised and lowered and angled in and out. Combined with the removable and luxurious neck and lumbar pillows, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more versatile and comfortable chair. I know I haven’t encountered one.
I wholeheartedly recommend this chair. It definitely costs a little more than your average office chair, but this is also well above what your average office chair is capable of. In fact, I’m surprised these don’t cost more. I’m even at a loss for suggestions for improvements. The hardest decision here is probably choosing which model and which color scheme you’d like.
