How Video Gaming and Gambling Have Met

December 14, 2019 Posted by Andrei Kuznetsov Editorial No Comments

Gaming and gambling have become increasing popular, ass technology has advanced. Way before any of us were born, we were not able to access to game and gamble as conveniently and immediate as we can now. Gambling and gaming have advanced massively and can now be accessed on such a wide range of platforms. In recent years, we are seeing connections being made between gaming and gambling. Players being able to gamble real money on gaming events, using payment methods such as PayPal. Some gambling sites actually offer bonuses that you can claim to bet on gaming events, using PayPal as a valid payment method! To find the current offers for betting with PayPal in November, then head over to MaxFreeBets.

It has got to the point where gaming events have now been considered so popular, that they are added to the entertainment section of a sports betting site, for you to bet on! For example, there are global competitions that players participate in, for different games. The likes of FIFA, CSGO, and loads more, all offer the opportunity for the best players to come together to play each other. Viewers and audiences are then able to bet on who they think will win the competitions! It is remarkable, a new way of betting. It adds more entertainment to say watching your favourite Youtuber or watching someone play your favourite video game.

There are some sites that let you gamble, whilst also being one of the participants. For example, you can pay an entry fee on a competition, enter the competition and then if you win, you win the prize pool. This is a form of gambling that customers prefer in terms of gaming, because you are in full control of how the wager is played out. You are in control of how it ends, if you win, then you will win the prize pool. It has created a new form of gaming and also entertainment. This just shows the power of both gaming and gambling and how them being integrated together has created an extremely powerful form of entertainment.

Games have also started to integrate gambling into their games. Some games, such as GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy and loads more, have created aspects of gambling into their games to make the game as a whole more enjoyable for customers. In games like GTA, there are now casino rooms that you can walk into and play online casino games that you enjoy. For example, you can play blackjack, roulette and loads more of fun games.

These games also allow you to put real money into the game, to then spend on gambling or other wagering aspects of the game, that you then can’t withdraw. So essentially you are just pumping money into the game. This can be extremely influential on younger children, but for the wrong reasons. Younger children, who are not old enough to legally gamble, are gambling on these games, which can start to begin the addiction of gambling. This is considered very harmful and it has caused a lot of controversy around gambling and gaming.

With the introduction of Virtual Reality, or VR for short, this has opened up a whole new future avenue for betting. If you do not know what VR is, to summarise, it is a headset and controller equipment that puts you into a new fans world that seems to be real. You then use the controllers to control your movements and tilt your head to look around. With this being a new introduction to the gaming industry, game developers within the gambling industry are now trying to see how they can integrate this into casino games. It is a big ask and whether we will see it making an introduction, we do not know yet, it will be very interesting to see what will come about in this respect.
