I think it’s high time we discussed this issue… Jackpots on slots??? In my opinion, that is laughable and a disgrace to the gaming community. Let slots be slots and jackpot be jackpot PLEASE. Again, instead of dealing out a huge chunk of cash prize to one player, I think breaking it up into smaller chunks would benefit more people, and raise the credibility score. That makes more sense compared to large chunks to one person.

It's just another kind of entertainment for which you have to pay a certain sum of money. Winning a jackpot in slots is just a pleasant bonus for your participation haha except for poker surely, where your decisions impact the result at least somehow...

Gambling is simply that, taking a risky action in the hope of a desired result. In your sample size of 1, you’ve never won big. You could play for a million years and may never win big. That’s how the odds go, though. Each new spin or hand, the odds of winning get reset. Just like with the lottery, some people get very lucky and some don’t. It doesn’t mean it’s “false” or “unwinnable,” it just means the odds of winning are very low. That’s gambling. The only time you’re in control of the odds – at least to a very small degree – are with skill-based games like Blackjack or Poker. If you play really well, you can increase your odds of winning by a few percentage points. That’s not much, but for some people, that’s enough to win big.

I see articles like these and think about how many people will just be misled into throwing away money in hopes of winning. All these things are staged. Nobody actually wins jackpots. Have you ever won a jackpot? Do you know anyone who has? Staking my money on the answer being “no” on both counts is infinitely a much better bet than trying to hit a jackpot. I have never won a jackpot and my years on this Earth have been filled with a good amount of gambling. Spare me of the falsities.
