Rundown of the Biggest Events in Competitive Mobile Gaming

Competitive mobile gaming is pretty new to the world of eSports. Namely, it experienced a breakthrough in 2020, when it even overtook PC gaming in terms of tournament prize pools. Even though it still tries to get recognition among the viewers, it seems that the mobile eSports industry has a bright and fruitful future.

Currently, there is a bunch of popular competitive mobile games. Accordingly, the number of tournaments and events continually increases. The events in competitive mobile gaming don’t lack significant prize pools or an audience. Therefore, players can now earn money by competing in such events, and so can you by betting on them.

Most Popular Competitive Mobile Games

While most people enjoy mobile games solely for fun, some take them more seriously. Such players prefer competing against each other. And even though the phenomena of mobile gaming isn’t anything new, the competitions and tournaments are.

Of course, not every mobile game is suitable for competitive play. Accordingly, events are hosted around several most famous competitive games. These are the ones that draw the most attention, and that stand out for their massive popularity:

  • PUBG Mobile
  • Arena of Valor
  • Dota Mobile
  • Call of Duty Mobile
  • Clash Royale
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

As mentioned earlier, betting on the most significant mobile gaming tournaments is also available. So, if you enjoy betting on traditional eSports, you’ll probably love the possibilities competitive mobile gaming offers. If you want to have a variety of games to bet on and a great selection of bonuses at your disposal, you should simply find the eSports betting platform that provides both.

Major Mobile Gaming Tournaments

Despite being new to the eSports industry, mobile gaming tournaments are already gaining popularity. Many of these events are massive and rewarding. The prize pool at the major tournaments even reached more than $4,000,000 in the last years. Even though this sum isn’t as significant as on some traditional eSports events, it will only grow bigger over time.

Call of Duty Mobile World Championship

The famous video game – Call of Duty – is available on mobile phones since 2019. The first CoD:M tournament took place only several months later, in April of 2020. It was one of the major mobile eSports events in recent history.

The first CoD:M tournament had a massive prize pool of $750,000. The lucky team that took the victory was KingClan, after competing in the grand finale in Los Angeles. Nonetheless, the World Championship that takes place in August and September of 2021 has an even more significant prize pool of $2,000,000. It’s hosted all around the world, including Europe, North and Latin America, Middle and Central Asia, and Japan.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship

The PUBG mobile Global Championship occurred in 2020 for the first time. It had one of the most significant prize pools in both years. In 2020, this event united 24 teams worldwide. They competed against each other in a series of events. The final winner was the Chinese team Four Angy Men which took the biggest share of the prize pool that consisted of $2,000,000.

The same event will take place in November of 2021. The prize pool will be just as massive as it was the year before. However, more teams – even 32 of them – will compete in 2021 in numerous countries and regions before heading to the grand finale.

Peacekeeper Elite League

Competitive mobile gaming is currently most popular in central Asia. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that one of the major local tournaments will be hosted in China. The prestigious Peacekeeper Elite League took place in 2020. There were three seasons over the year, and the overall prize pool exceeded $3,500,000. The team Four Angry Men was the one that took the most significant share – $444,842. This event will be repeated in 2021. It will offer the rewards of pretty much the same sizes.

Free Fire Continental Series

One more exciting tournament which occurred in 2020 was the Free Fire Continental Series. It was witnessed by more than 2,000,000 viewers worldwide. Since it was divided into three regions, several teams took the massive rewards. Namely, the Liquid teams took the victory in FFCS Americas, EXP eSports came up first in FFCS Asia, and Sbornaya ChR won the FFCS EMEA. The tournament’s total prize pool was around $900,000.

In 2021, this exciting event will take place in Singapore. Even 22 teams will participate and compete for a share of a prize pool of around $2,000,000.

Honor of Kings Championship Cup

The most significant event hosted in 2020 in the world of competitive mobile gaming was the Honor of Kings Championship Cup. Its prize pool was doubtless the biggest one – more than $4,500,000. Since it was a regional tournament, it took place in China. The winner that won more than $1,000,000 was Turnso Gaming.

Honor of Kings Championship Cup occurred in 2021 again, this time bringing more lucrative rewards. The total prize pool was more than $7,500,000. In the grand finale, the QG Happy came out as the ultimate winner. Accordingly, the team took more than $3,000,000.

Betting on Competitive Mobile Gaming

If you enjoy betting on PC or mobile devices, you probably want to know if the competitive mobile gaming industry offers this possibility. The straightforward answer is – yes. You can bet on events surrounding some of the most famous mobile games, including PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile. Some betting platforms have sections dedicated to mobile competitive games.

Nonetheless, you should know that mobile competitive gaming is pretty new. Therefore, if you want to find an adequate betting platform, you should take your time. After all, you shouldn’t choose the first one you come across. Security on the internet is still the priority.

But one thing is sure – the competitive mobile gaming industry will grow stronger and bigger in the future. Accordingly, you’ll get the possibility to enjoy the new form of competitive gaming and the betting possibilities it may bring!
