Best New Orleans Pelicans Players In NBA2K24

July 9, 2024 Posted by Jane Smith Editorial No Comments

It’s time for some NBA 2K24 action. One of the things that makes this game so enjoyable is creating your own roster of players. Each player in NBA 2K24 comes with different skills and abilities, and an overall rating with strengths and weaknesses.

The goal here is to choose the best players that go along with your team and strategy. So, you’ve fired up NBA 2K24 and you are eyeing the New Orleans Pelicans roster.

Are there any good players? Which one has the best skills and stats? Are there any good choices or you should pass?

Well, in order to find out, we have to look at some of the Pelican’s best players and find out whether they are a good choice for you. If you want to go a step further and you fancy the Pelicans in the NBA odds for next season then you should head over to ClutchBuzz.

Since we are talking about the Pelicans, you cannot expect an overall rating above 90 like other teams in NBA 2K24.

But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any decent players. Here is our selection:

Zion Williamson: The Human Highlight Reel

First up, we have Zion Williamson. The man, the myth, the beast. Zion comes in with an 88 overall rating, which might be a touch lower than fans were hoping for, but don’t let that fool you. Zion’s inside scoring is off the charts. He’s practically unstoppable in the paint with a combination of strength, agility, and pure athleticism. Need to dominate the rim? Zion’s your guy.

  • Overall Rating: 88
  • Strengths: Inside scoring, athleticism
  • Weaknesses: Perimeter shooting

His dunking ability is through the roof, so if you’re looking to posterize opponents, Zion is your go-to. Just don’t rely on him to nail those deep threes consistently.

Brandon Ingram: The Smooth Operator

Brandon Ingram is the Pelicans’ versatile forward who can score from just about anywhere on the court. His 86 overall rating reflects his all-around game, but his scoring from mid-range and beyond the arc makes him particularly deadly.

  • Overall Rating: 86
  • Strengths: Mid-range and three-point shooting
  • Weaknesses: Defense

Ingram’s smooth shooting and ability to create his own shot make him a great option when you need a bucket. Plus, his height and wingspan allow him to shoot over most defenders. Just don’t expect him to lock down the opposing team’s star player on defense. Since Ingram might be involved in a trade with the Kings, we might not see him in the Pelicans roster much longer.

C.J. McCollum: The Sharpshooter

Next, we have C.J. McCollum, the veteran guard who brings a wealth of scoring prowess to the Pelicans. With an 86 overall rating, McCollum excels in outside shooting and playmaking. He’s the guy you want handling the ball in clutch situations.

  • Overall Rating: 86
  • Strengths: Three-point shooting, playmaking
  • Weaknesses: Defense, athleticism

McCollum’s ability to drain shots from deep and his reliable free throw shooting make him a crucial asset in tight games. However, he’s not the quickest player on the court, so keep that in mind when defending fast guards.

Herbert Jones: The Defensive Specialist

Herbert Jones might not be the first name that comes to mind, but his 82 overall rating is well-deserved, especially given his defensive capabilities. Jones is the kind of player who can guard multiple positions and make life difficult for opponents.

  • Overall Rating: 82
  • Strengths: Defense, versatility
  • Weaknesses: Scoring

If you need a defensive stop or someone to hustle and make the gritty plays, Jones is your man. He’s not going to light up the scoreboard, but he’ll definitely help keep the other team in check.

Trey Murphy III: The Emerging Star

Trey Murphy III rounds out our list with an 81 overall rating. Murphy is a young player with a lot of potential, especially in his shooting and athleticism. He’s a great option for stretching the floor and adding some explosiveness to your lineup.

  • Overall Rating: 81
  • Strengths: Shooting, athleticism
  • Weaknesses: Experience, consistency

Murphy’s shooting ability makes him a valuable asset, especially in a league that values three-point shooting more than ever. He’s still developing, so expect some ups and downs, but the future is bright for this young talent.

Honorable Mention: Matt Ryan

Okay, Matt Ryan might not have the highest rating at 72 overall, but let’s give the guy some love. He’s worked his way into the league and provides depth to the Pelicans’ roster. Plus, every team needs a solid role player who can step up when needed.

  • Overall Rating: 72
  • Strengths: Depth, role-playing
  • Weaknesses: Overall skill set

Ryan might not be your first choice in a clutch situation, but he’s there to fill in the gaps and give the starters some much-needed rest.

Kobe Bryant in NBA2K24
Even legends like Kobe Bryant are in the game.

There are some good players that can make a great addition to your team. On top of that, most of these athletes are much more affordable than big names from the NBA. The Pelicans have a mix of everything, and most importantly, there is emerging talent that you can invest in.
