As previously mentioned here on Armchair Arcade, a new FPGA/ASIC retro console project, Supersega, has been announced, which will be able to play almost all media and controllers from the Sega SG-1000/SC-3000, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis / MegaDrive, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast. After Supersega releases new in-hand videos next month (October 2024), they will allow interested individuals to make a pre-reservation for just 3€/USD, which will lock in an early unit from the first batch for 30% off, expected to be in the 300-350€ range.
The team has released new renders of version 0.9 of the Supersega board, which will be featured in future “How does it work?” videos. They’ll have physical prototype units in-hand in roughly 3 – 4 weeks.
Here are the renders:

We’ll post full details on Armchair Arcade as soon as pre-reservations open. See you then!
