Following up on our earlier hands-on testing with the LiberNovo Maxis Airflow chair, LiberNovo has announced that its flagship LiberNovo Omni Pro has officially earned Ergonomic Product Certification from United States Ergonomics. As someone with a bad lower back, ergonomics are near and dear to my heart.
Rather than relying purely on marketing claims, the certification process involved independent laboratory evaluations conducted with 18 participants, alongside at least a month of extended real-world home and office use. The testing regimen covered anthropometric fit, pressure mapping across the seat and backrest, electromyography (EMG) muscle activity tracking, and structured two-hour sitting tasks.
According to the testing data provided in the announcement:
- Comfort & Adjustability: Participants rated the chair 9.2/10 for comfort during continuous two-hour sitting tasks, 9.1/10 for ease of adjustment, and 9.6/10 specifically for lumbar-support adjustment.
- Dynamic Support: 89% of study participants noted that dynamic support was mostly or fully maintained through various posture changes.
- Muscle Effort: Measured EMG activity stayed below 2.2% of maximum voluntary contraction during the evaluated tasks, indicating low muscular effort.
- Thermal Comfort: 78% of participants highlighted that the chair’s powered seat ventilation noticeably improved thermal comfort during longer sessions.
The Omni Pro continues to lean heavily into its “Dynamic Ergonomics” philosophy, featuring a bionic flexfit backrest, a synchronized support framework (SynchroLink), and active lumbar stretching (OmniStretch) as users recline between 105 and 160 degrees.
It’s an interesting step for the brand to back up its hardware specs with independent third-party lab testing, giving potential buyers a clearer quantitative picture of how the chair performs over time and might work with their unique ergonomic needs.
