A Guide to Virtual Sports Betting

March 31, 2020 Posted by Jane Smith Editorial No Comments

Betting on sports is a lot of fun and a great way to make money if you know what you’re doing. Of course, sometimes there’s just nothing to bet on. Especially in times like these where major sports events are being canceled one after the other, virtual sports becomes the preferred form of entertainment to both fans and punters alike. You will definitely have as much fun guessing who has the best odds for basketball betting.

We’ve put together this guide to help you understand what virtual sports are, where to find them, and how to bet and be successful.

What are Virtual Sports?

Sports betting is massively popular at online sportsbooks around the world. However, sports don’t run 24/7, and sometimes you might be in the mood to make a bet and find that there are no sports on. In this case, many sportsbooks also offer virtual sports. Anyone looking for a new way to bet at any time of the day, you should take a look at all the latest virtual sports betting offers and promotions.

Virtual sports are fixed odds games that use random number generator (RNG) to determine the outcome. The events are completely computer-generated, but because they’re based on RNG, they’re fair and can’t be rigged against the player.

Depending on which sportsbook you use, you can find virtual sports for loads of different events, including cycling, racing, tennis, football, and horse racing.

How to Bet on Virtual Sports

You can go into almost any online sportsbook and find a great selection of virtual sports to bet on. Depending on your preferences, some sites may be better than others, so make sure to look around before choosing a site.

When you pick your game, you’ll see a list of the different options to bet on and the odds of each. Remember that the odds show precisely the chance of that event happening, so unlike in sports betting, there’s no way to look for value in the odds.

Most events such as football and tennis will allow you to bet on who will win the event, the total number of goals or points, and the correct scoreline. You might also be able to bet on over-under on a certain number of points. For racing events, there are usually a few other options, including picking the correct list of two or three winning positions.

How to Win at Virtual Sports

Winning when betting on virtual sports is pretty straightforward. The games are completely decided by chance as the RNG generator chooses an outcome based on the odds of the event and luck.

Unlike real sports betting, there aren’t any additional factors that can influence a game, so the odds are completely accurate. If you want to be successful, you’ll have to be a little lucky and also be sure to correctly manage your bankroll.

Never bet what you can’t afford to lose and make sure to set both a winning and losing limit. That way, you can limit your losses and also make sure you quit while you’re ahead.

While the cash out feature is something most sportsbooks provide for regular sports betting, you won’t find it available for virtual sports, unfortunately. This means that there isn’t much strategy you can use. You’ll just have to hope that your luck is in.
