XREAL has officially launched the XREAL 1 Pro+, an updated flagship wearable display that builds upon the strong foundation of the existing One Pro. Rather than completely reinventing their popular AR glasses, XREAL has targeted specific quality-of-life and performance upgrades aimed at gamers, movie enthusiasts, and productivity users. Available globally starting today, October 15, for $599, the 1 Pro+ focuses heavily on display quality, spatial viewing enhancements, and overall wearing comfort.
The core of the experience remains intact, retaining the X1 spatial computing chip, native 3DoF spatial anchoring, and the wide 57-degree field of view that users have come to expect. However, the new upgrades make this a notable refinement for extended, everyday use.
Key Upgrades in the XREAL 1 Pro+:
- Brighter Display with AI HDR: The Micro-OLED display now pushes up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, allowing virtual content to remain highly visible even in bright, real-world environments. The addition of AI HDR further optimizes the perceived image quality across supported media.
- Upgraded Native REAL 3D (60 FPS): XREAL has significantly improved its 2D-to-3D conversion capabilities. Most notably, the Native REAL 3D specification has been updated to 60 fps (frames per second), moving away from the previously stated 60Hz metric for better accuracy. This higher frame rate delivers much smoother motion and a more natural sense of depth when experiencing traditional 2D content spatially.
- Tailored Viewing Modes: The glasses now feature dedicated Standard, Movie, and Reading display modes. This allows users to easily swap presets based on what they are currently doing, whether that’s watching a film or reviewing text-heavy documents.
- Improved Ergonomics: To accommodate longer viewing and productivity sessions, the 1 Pro+ introduces a newly designed ergonomic nose pad system. This redesign is intended to improve overall wearing stability and comfort while ensuring the user’s eyes remain perfectly aligned with the display’s optical sweet spot.

The XREAL 1 Pro+ is available now directly through XREAL’s official storefront, with global retail partners expected to carry the device in the near future. I’ll see if I’m able to review one in the near future.
