The excitement of risk is also a drawcard, filling us with a sense of anticipation that gives us a natural high. Then there are the classic games, such as Bingo and card games at home, that have created a sense of acceptance of gambling that makes us feel good.

It’s been a fascinating walk from the early days of tribal community where games were played with sticks and dice to the easily accessible online gaming that we find today. From playing on ships to a night out at the casino to gambling on a digital device in bed, the hunger and yearning for excitement and possibility has not seemed to waver over the years.
