AtGames® Announces Open & Connected Pinball (OCP) to Support Visual Pinball X (VPX) and Future Pinball (FP) Community Created Tables

LOS ANGELES, November 25, 2020 (Newswire.com) – AtGames today announced expanding its successful initiative working with Visual Pinball X (VPX) and Future Pinball (FP) community members on supporting both their development efforts and work on the Legends Arcade Platform, including Legends Pinball. VPX and FP are freeware and source available video game engines for pinball tables for creating and preserving pinball through software simulation. The growing number of Legends Arcade Family products running on the shared Legends Arcade Platform support arcade, console, and virtual pinball play and include the Legends Ultimate, Legends Gamer series, Legends Connect, Legends Core, and Legends Pinball. AtGames successfully completed the pilot project collaborating with well-known VPX community members like ScottyWic, resulting in releasing his popular The Leprechaun King table for the Legends Arcade Platform. To summarize, it has 22 licensed Gottlieb pinball tables built-in, 60FPS performance, a huge 32″ HD playfield, a large 15.6″ LCD backglass, all kinds of connectivity and expansion options, the ability to play/add more tables and games, and more. All that, and it’s going to retail for just $599, with pre-orders starting mid-November for shipping at the end of December.

While competing virtual pinball machines from other companies have already been announced (with only one of the 3/4 scale Toy Shock machines actually already out), it looks like none of the others come close to the features, size, or scope of this machine.

• Bubble Bobble – The beloved 1986 arcade platformer is back and lets up to two simultaneous players take control of small dragons, Bub and Bob, on a quest to rescue their girlfriends in the Cave of Monsters. There are 100 levels total of bubble blowing (and popping!) fun.

• Qix – Pronounced “Kicks,” this abstract 1981 arcade puzzle game challenges you to draw lines (Stix) to close off parts of a rectangle to ultimately fill-in a majority of the playfield. You’ll need to avoid the titular Qix and persistent Sparx if you want to close off enough of a level to advance. It’s a tough title to master, but one whose unique gameplay keeps you coming back for more!
