Evercade announces three new cartridges, including NeoGeo Arcade 1, and two more Super Pockets!

Evercade has announced their latest cartridges, bringing the total count to 70, as well as two new Super Pockets. The number 46 cartridge in the arcade series is Gremlin Collection 2 with four 32-bit games. Cartridge numbers 15 and 16 in the arcade series, Windjammers, Karnov & Friends and NeoGeo Arcade 1, have five and six games, respectively. Super Pocket NeoGeo Edition (Super Pocket #5) has 14 built-in games and Super Pocket Data East Edition (Super Pocket #6) has 18 built-in games.

Evercade has announced their latest cartridge, the 67th, and the 45th in the main series, Tomb Raider Collection 2, with 2 games on one Giga Cart, Tomb Raider: Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation includes a special bonus level previously only available on the PC version.

In late April, it was revealed that the Evercade VS-R Controller packaging indicated compatibility with an undisclosed device named Alpha, alongside existing consoles VS and VS-R. While the nature of Alpha remains speculative, suggestions lean towards an arcade-style device resembling the TAITO Egret II. This hypothetical unit would feature a rotatable built-in display and digital-only arcade controls, aiming for practicality and affordability with a potential price range of $129 – $149 USD. This aligns with Evercade’s strategy of streamlined, cost-effective gaming products.
