Towards the end of the \u201880s,\nafter having already attained a cult-like status in East Asia, a game titled\n\u2018The Legend of Zelda\u2019 made its first appearance in the Western gaming hemisphere.\nThe game was initially met with skepticism, with many people at that time\nbelieving its concept to be too bizarre for the American audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rest, as they say, is\nhistory. Since then, the main character in that game and all of its ensuing sequels,\nLink, has become just as beloved in the U.S. as he was in Japan all those years\nago. This is mainly due to the fact that \u2018The Legend of Zelda\u2019 series always\nsomehow manages to better itself with each new release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The very latest game to carry on Link\u2019s legacy is \u2018The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.\u2019 If you\u2019re on the fence as to whether or not you want to play it, make sure to read on. Here are two reasons why you should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a game\nabout exploration and discovery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the entire \u2018Zelda\u2019\nseries, most of the action takes place in the medieval-inspired fantasy land\nknown as Hyrule. This is the case for \u2018Breath of the Wild\u2019 as well\u2026 but\nsomething\u2019s not quite right. In an aesthetic sense, the graphics that bring\nHyrule to life in this installment look better than ever. In terms of the\nstoryline, however, this fantasy land has certainly seen better days. There are\nmonsters everywhere, the temperature has dropped (your character can actually\ndie if he gets too cold!), the Thyphlo Ruins are overrun with black fog<\/a>, and the threat of impending doom looms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the face of adversity, you\n(and Link) will have to find a way to survive and bring glory back to Hyrule.\nIn the meantime, you will be sent on an epic journey in which you will have to\nexplore the various terrains of the land and find a way to complete your quest.\nThis journey of discovery will see you learn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
