\"\"<\/a>Coosh’s 2-in-1 Lightning Cable and micro-USB Car Charger<\/a>\u00a0is a car charger for all Apple iPhone, iPod, and iPad models with a lightning connector, as well as any devices that use a micro-USB connector, which includes most Android-based phones and tablets (and really most other non-Apple mobile devices). As an added bonus, thanks to the bell-like design of the power dongle, there are two extra USB input ports, meaning you can have up to three devices connected at once.<\/p>\n

As usual, there’s nothing to complain about with Coosh’s packaging or build quality.<\/p><\/div>\n

Input is 12V-24V, output is a maximum of 5A\/5V, and maximum current protection is 5.5-6.2A with support for OVP, OCP, OTP, and SCP. As with all previous Coosh products I reviewed, I found the build quality to be excellent with a very Apple-like design aesthetic.<\/p>\n

With a simple pull or push, the Coosh 2-in-1 Lightning Cable and micro-USB Car Charger makes it easy to switch between lightning and micro-USB connections.<\/p><\/div>\n

If you’re like me and in a family with both iOS- and Android-based devices, you’ll appreciate the versatility that this charger provides. In our example, it not only works with my iPhone 6 Plus, as well and my wife’s, but also our two oldest daughters’ Motorola Moto G’s. That type of versatility is always appreciated.<\/p>\n

With the above in mind, there are a few negatives I need to point out. The first negative is that the coiled cord is a bit on the short side. It reaches from the charging outlet to the iPhone 6 Plus on the dashboard of my wife’s Toyota Highlander just fine, but, because of where those same things are positioned in my Toyota Prius, it tends to pull off on my phone’s charging port. It still stays in, but the tension it places on that port is not something I’d like to keep doing\u00a0long term. \u00a0Obviously, before purchase, you need to judge where your car charging port is and where you place your phone.<\/p>\n

The one other negative is that because there’s the reversible charging bit (lightning and micro-USB), the casing is a bit larger than it would otherwise have to be, causing it to not fit with certain phone cases. On my case it fits just fine, but on my wife’s latest case, it was a no-go. If you find you have a case that doesn’t allow for every charging cable to fit, you may want to pass on this one (for iPhone users, I highly recommend Coosh’s other charger<\/a>), or at least consider taking advantage of its versatility and working with the other two USB ports on it with a cable that does fit. Nevertheless, as long as you keep the length and fit caveats in mind and know they won’t be an issue, there’s still quite a bit to recommend about this versatile charger.<\/p>\n
