Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is the intelligence demonstrated by machines. The Google Assistant for example, is a virtual assistant developed by Google to make your life easier. It can help you do everything, from helping you carry out salon appointments to help you play with Party casino<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ireland and AI: What Can You Expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ireland has been on the map of digital hubs all over the world for quite some time. Earlier this year, Minister Pat Breen welcomed leaders from the European Union\u2019s top digital economies to Dublin Digital Hub to discuss AI technology and its potential for the D9 EU conference.<\/p>\n

Now, come September, Dublin will be hosts to the Conversational Interface Conference, better known as ConverCon, at the Headquarters of Microsoft. The speakers will be experts from the top-notch tech companies, like Amazon and Webio. The duration has been extended to a full day, double of what it was last May.<\/p>\n

This will be Europe\u2019s first ever ConverCon and it\u2019ll be the audience to tech giants discussing chatbots, digital assistants, text messaging, and a lot more.<\/p>\n

What Can You Expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AI has the potential to change lives as we know it. It can automate a lot of tasks that we do today and help us improve our productivity to higher levels. In fact, it has the ability to bring about new technological changes as well, and Ireland seems to have a good role to play in it.<\/p>\n

Ireland not only has beautiful vistas, but is also a tech hub.<\/p><\/div>\n

Paul Sweeney, the co-founder of ConverCon has expressed his views regarding Ireland\u2019s part in the AI revolution. He thinks the Irish are the best suited to lead the conversational AI technology since they are gifted with splendid conversation skills.<\/p>\n

About the event and the participation from the various tech giants he adds that the tech giants would not miss out on a conference with other experts in the field, especially since there has been an eruption in interest in Artificial Intelligence, chatbots, and platforms like Amazon Alexa.<\/p>\n

Sweeney himself is a techie. He works as the Executive Vice President at Webio, an Irish start-up which also calls itself \u2018The Conversational Middleware\u2019, smoothing conversations across all channels by the means of AI.<\/p>\n

Conversational interface, he says, can transform the industry, but the leaders will have to take a practical approach about its implementation and application on every strata of the industry.<\/p>\n

In deference to the events of recent times, the Convercon at Dublin is set to address grim themes such as data ethics and ethical AI. These include global deployment factors like that of culture and gender that should be taken into consideration, as well as the practical elements involved with providing a better user experience.<\/p>\n
