Unfortunately, one downside of its portability is its relatively weak battery life of 2.5 &#8211; 6 hours, and usually on the lower end of that scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, there&#8217;s a product like <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2nWv9GT\">Antank&#8217;s Nintendo Switch Battery Case<\/a> to help solve the problem of having enough power for extended game sessions away from a charger or dock. Weighing just 8 ounces, the <g class=\"gr_ gr_39 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"39\" data-gr-id=\"39\">Antank<\/g> easily clips data-gr-id=\"34\">is<\/g> the battery case itself, a dustproof drawstring bag, and instructions. While no charging cable is included, the <g class=\"gr_ gr_32 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"32\" data-gr-id=\"32\">Antank<\/g> can use the Nintendo Switch&#8217;s AC adapter or any USB-C cable. It&#8217;s the latter that I&#8217;ve been using to charge the battery without issue.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aesthetically, the all-black, slightly rubbery battery case looks and feels nice enough, although a little bit of the finish on my particular unit did rub off on the rear two slot game card holder compartment. There&#8217;s a reasonable balance to the <g class=\"gr_ gr_35 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"35\" data-gr-id=\"35\">Antank<\/g> when attached to the Switch, although you will feel the difference in the combined weight. On the plus side, the combination of the two units does make the Switch feel more substantial, and there is a built-in stand, so it&#8217;s easy enough to place on a flat surface for additional support if needed.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the 6500mAh (32.5Wh) battery is said to charge the Switch more than once, in my testing, with active play while running the battery, I was &#8220;only&#8221; able to add 100% more time to my play session for an effective 1x additional charge. That&#8217;s still double the normal battery life versus without use of the battery pack, and you can always charge the battery and use it at the same time should a USB-C cable and suitable power source be available. It&#8217;s far less picky than the Switch itself is with how it&#8217;s charged.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><g class=\"gr_ gr_19 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"19\" data-gr-id=\"19\">Operation<\/g> is simple. When your Switch battery is getting low, you snap the <g class=\"gr_ gr_17 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"17\" data-gr-id=\"17\">Antank<\/g> in place and press its power button. It&#8217;s then like your Switch is being charged through its normal charger. It looks and feels good, is easy to take on and off, and has nice design features like Switch function cut-outs and ventilation, as well as a built-in stand and game card holder. While it would be nice if you could extend the Switch&#8217;s battery life more than 100%, or one full charge, I think you, like me, will appreciate the savings in extra weight from not enhancing that particular feature brings.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to <g class=\"gr_ gr_5 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"5\" data-gr-id=\"5\">Antank<\/g> for the discounted review unit.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-color\"><strong>Positives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Extremely easy to snap into place and remove<\/li><li>Has a USB-C port for charging, same as the Switch<\/li><li>Looks and feels good, with nice design features<\/li><li>Adds at least 100% battery life to the Switch<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Negatives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Despite being well-balanced, it does add\u00a0noticeable weight to the Switch<\/li><li>Gets slightly warm when on<\/li><li>Some of the finish wore off on the built-in dual game card holder<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nintendo Switch is a fantastic hybrid game machine.
