FPGA technology allows for a perfect digital recreation of the functionality of an original system, in this <g class=\"gr_ gr_5 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"5\" data-gr-id=\"5\">case<\/g> Coleco&#8217;s ColecoVision, as well as for various enhancements not possible on the original hardware without heavy modifications. These features and enhancements include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>HDMI output<\/li><li>F18A Video Enhanced Compatibility Built-in<\/li><li>Officially licensed Opcode SGM compatibility Built-in<\/li><li>Original-style ColecoVision (DB-9) Controller Ports<\/li><li>Original ColecoVision Cartridge Port<\/li><li>Original-style SNES\/SFC Controller Port (For even more controller compatibility!) (NTT Data compatible)<\/li><li>SD card firmware updating [via SD card slot] (also supports ROMs)<\/li><li>PS2 Keyboard input<\/li><li>The SEX7264 \u201cCOURTNEY\u201d Wavetable Sound Generator (WSG) is a new custom sound chip which can produce a rich plurality of sounds with minimal intervention of the CPU<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obviously, this is a very exciting prospect. Unfortunately, because of the expense of the versatile FPGA technology, this is not cheap, but the value is more than there. Also unfortunate is the rather high goal, which will make it difficult to meet because of the relatively large volume of pledges required. They also already have working prototypes.
