Android device makers in Europe are about to have long nights ahead. Google’s changing licensing suites of Android apps. This comes in the wake of the July ruling by the European Commission. Google was fined a whopping $5 billion for antitrust violations. It was ordered to stop illegally tying Chrome and search apps to Android apps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ruling has changed the whole structure of Android apps. Phone manufacturers in Europe will have to pay for things such as Play Store, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube. Moreover, they will be required to license Chrome and search apps separately from other Android apps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. More Facebook drama.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early October Facebook launched a range of powered AI video calling services dubbed Portal and Portal Plus. These devices live in your home and let you call your Facebook friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were launched in the middle of all the Facebook sagas. Even though the devices have been termed as simply amazing, there is a downside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, the company assured consumers that the devices won’t show any advertisements. However, there is a whole other side of the story.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A report by Recode revealed that Facebook had been using the data collected from these devices as part of their advertisement strategy. You still don’t get it? Here is how it works. Facebook will show you any advertisements while you are using the devices. However, the data collected will be used to target you with adverts on other sites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Microsoft is King.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft has been fighting with Apple to be the most publicly traded company with stock value. However, it seems Microsoft is going to get this crown.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this week Microsoft edged out Apple on stock shares both on Tuesday and Wednesday. This comes when Apple has lost about 22.8% stock shares since October 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Ubers plans to buy Deliveroo stalled.<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uber is like any other company it does not like any competition. Deliveroo has proved to be the go-to company to deliver food around the UK. Deliveroo has been giving Uber Eats direct competition ever since it was launched in 2013.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uber was planning to buy the startup for $2 billion. However, the plans have hit a wall after the two sides had a disagreement about the company’s evaluation. Deliveroo wants a whopping $4 billion dollars. This is twice more than what Uber is offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Andy Jassy roasts Larry Ellison.<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amazon’s web designer Andy Jassy and Oracle Executive Chairman cannot fight the urge to bash each other. During the Amazon Web Services conferences, Jassy used Ellison’s face in one of his slides. Ellison was pictured peering haplessly over the pie as a cartoon.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jassy wanted to prove that Oracle had no say in the market. This might have been a revenge plan for Jassy. On another occasion, Ellison took a shot at Amazon Web Design describing it as an autonomous car about to die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. More Facebook drama.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Zuckerberg is growing quite unpopular. And his woes never seem to let him be. San Francisco Supervisor Aaron Peskin asked the city attorney to look into Zuckerberg. The politician is seeking to have the name of the Facebook CEO removed from a hospital he donated $75 million. This comes in the recent wake of all the Facebook wrangles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. FTC will investigate video game loot boxes.<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week the FTC pledged to look into video game loot boxes which are generating revenue. According to Sen. Maggie Hassan, the loot boxes will be making a revenue of $50B by 2020. The boxes could be addictive to kids who could turn into gambling. Thus an investigation would help protect the kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Self-driving a toy car.<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year will one good year for all toy lovers. Amazon is ready<\/a> to release an autonomous toy car. The AWS DeepRacer will be available for $40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Big Mouth Billy Bass synchs with Amazon Alexa.<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The preorders for Big Mouth Billy Bass which syncs with Alexa are now open. The plastic fish can respond to Alexa voice commands, dance amazon music and sync with Alexa. You should get your plastic fish today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Facebook again!<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
