Must Read Books for Casino Gamblers

July 25, 2017 Posted by Abigail Massimo Editorial No Comments

In the latest entry in our continuing coverage of casino technology, we take a step back to look at some must-read books related to casino gambling.

For a fact, betting may be an uncontrolled as well as an unpredictable source of entertainment. However, controlling it is not a walk in the park, as a plethora of people relish in taking risks and testing the strength of luck. Nevertheless, the systematization and analysis of this activity may appear to be a tad bit unnecessary components of the procedure that wipe out the heat of gaming.

As you know, self-control permits the gambling connoisseurs across the globe to regularly emerge as the stars of betting, and live off the top of the range casinos as they learn how to play Dolphin Treasure slot among other incredible slot machine games.

As seen in a sports car accelerating to a remarkable speed within a span of a few seconds, the betting captures the minds of its audience. With that in mind, there is a collection of books that exude wisdom and have assisted a myriad of bettors in unveiling the secrets of gambling and master the skills it takes to walk away as stoked winners. As such, we shall look into these books below.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter Thompson

Hunter Thompson who was a cult author of the 20th century became the legend of the counterculture in America during the early 1970’s. As such, the book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas underwent 30 editions as well as translations into numerous languages such as Italian, Japanese, and French, among others. It entails the classic alongside the long account of drug-induced wagering adventures in Vegas by the “Gonzo” author.

Casino Royale by Ian Fleming

With the original entry in the epic James Bond series, he embarks on an adventure to France with the sole purpose of disarming the powerful French politician called Le Chiffre. The politician also happens to be the head as well as the paymaster of the greatest organization of Soviet murder, SMERSH. Nevertheless, eccentric alongside dumbfounded mannerisms of the wealthy leads to cheating in a game of poker. The feud begins with a round of the famous game Baccarat worth 50 million francs, and acquires energy among James’ sweltering relationship with a beautiful female spy, and accomplishes immense torment at a perverse murderer’s account.

For tension which is unfathomable, threats that are unprecedented and unwarranted rushes, nothing defeats James Bond in this memorable encounter. With that in mind, the thrilling adaption of Casino Royale for the big screens occurred almost a decade ago in 2006 with Daniel Craig starring as the main character.

Beat the Dealer by Edward Thorp

Before Professor Edward Thorp published his captivating book, there was a coterie of theories and even less proof that surrounded the probability of emerging as an elated winner of the famous Blackjack. However, this all changed when Beat the Dealer hit the market and contained unique winning strategies and tips for how players in Las Vegas successfully beat croupiers in the exciting world of gambling. As such, it is no surprise that this book has made sales of over 700,000 across the globe as it is more informative than the array of other similar books on the shelves. The quality of the dealer depicts itself through the slew of imitations that have come after the book’s publishing over half a century ago in 1962.

Another significant criterion of this book is the fact that it appeals to bettors who have different levels of expertise and knowledge in Blackjack. Thus, for rookies, they can learn about the fundamental rules and strategies of the game before they can ease into the advanced, winning strategies for veterans. The complex strategies also include discussions on how to win based on pure science as opposed to chance.

Lastly, the most remarkable feature of this book is that over half a century later since its publishing it still exudes relevance. While we cannot deny the fact that there are easier systems of counting cards, the discussions concerning the first systems alongside the ability to see the development of the cornucopia of winning theories certainly make Beat the Dealer worth every minute of your time.

Gambling 102 by Michael Shackleford

For starters, Michael Shackleford is one of the best wagering mathematicians across the globe since the year 1995 and a large number of people globally refer to him as the Wizard of Odds. With that in mind, he has provided Internet users with informative tips on how to participate in a broad range of casino games and scored some wins.

Over a decade ago in 2005, the famous Huntington Press released the book, Gambling 102 from this renowned mathematician. While many books on betting introduce readers to different casino games and more, Shackleford assumes that readers will gain familiarities with the basics of various games such as Roulette, Blackjack, as well as Casino War, among others. As a result, the Wizard of Odds can provide proper strategies that are also mathematically sound, without the alienation of new players.
