Types of Skins in Dota 2

January 18, 2018 Posted by Jonathan Adams Editorial, How to No Comments

After skins have appeared in Dota 2, it became much more interesting to play, as new skins make you feel the atmosphere of the game better. Moreover, they improve the visual aspect of the game. There is a huge difference between the Azwraith base skin and the same character in the custom skin.

If you have many skins you do not really need, you can sell those for real money in the Skin Market in a couple of minutes. You can really can get paid promptly, and, if you manage to make several sales on the marketplace, you will get bonus funds – which means you can sell items for a higher price.

However, before selling a skin you need to acquire one. There are many types of skins available and below you will know about the most popular types that exist.

Equipment

Equipment is the unique set of items developed for each hero separately. That means that once you buy an item for Magnus, you cannot use those for Juggernaut and vice versa. There are two characteristics for equipment you should consider – rarity and quality. The higher the rating within any of the characteristics, the better the item is, and the more customized it can be.

Couriers

Do you remember that in classic Dota you had to buy courier and you could change their appearance? It is even more customized for Dota 2 as you can use your own customized couriers and there are many more than the five options that were in classic Dota.

HUD Skins

If you are tired of the interface design, why can’t you change it? Well, you can if you have HUD skins – the interface becomes really adjustable and you feel rejuvenated when using this skin.

Announcers

Do you remember that Mega Kill, Rampage, Ultrakill things? You surely do. Now, if you are tired of those, you can change to others. There is a wide choice of announcers – voices and text – and it is worth trying one to vary the game flow.

Emoticons

Each service tends to develop one’s unique emojis and that’s what Dota 2 developers do as well. You can get new emojis that are thematic for scourges and sentinels to make communication funnier.

Wards

Almost all players buy wards at least once during the game, and you will be surprised to see the number of options available for these wards to look.

Conclusion

The number of skins types are much more variable than listed above, and you can check them out by checking out Twitch streamers, watching tournaments, or buying items in Dota 2. So, if you have an explicit amount of items you do not really use or like, know that there is a handy option for selling or exchanging those.

Aiding in this success is Dota's surrounding infrastructure. Websites dedicated to Dota 2 news keep players and fans updated on the direct side of things, including all the recent patch and eSports developments. Now also reaching major mainstream attention is Dota Auto Chess, which acts a mod for Dota 2 similar to the original’s treatment of Warcraft III.
