Review: PDP Power Pose Mario Nintendo Switch Commuter Case

September 17, 2021 Posted by Bill Loguidice Review No Comments

I originally purchased a nice Nintendo Switch case when we got our first Nintendo Switch back in March 2017. In the years since, our Switch collection has grown considerably, so we have much more we can store when we travel. With this need for additional room, the PDP Nintendo Switch Commuter Case caught my eye.

How it comes.
How it comes.

This semi hard shell case has a standard handle as well as removable shoulder strap. It’s available in three unique designs: Power Pose Mario, Animal Crossing Tom Nook, or Hyrule Hero Link. It was really tough deciding on which design to go with as they all have their appeal, but ultimately I went with the Power Pose Mario design.

It's really great quality.
It’s really great quality.

Aesthetics aside, as mentioned, the big appeal with this case for me was the storage capacity. It can hold either a Switch or Switch Lite, two extra Joy-Cons, a Pro Controller, 14 game cards in dedicated slots, as well as quite a few other accessories (AC adapter, cabling, etc.) as your needs and/or imagination dictate. Even with all this capacity, the case is still only about 10.5 inches wide, 7 inches tall, and 3 inches deep.

It can hold quite a bit.
It can hold quite a bit.

Materials look and feel great. The front pocket and main body zippers also have good grip and action. The only slight disappointment for me was a tiny blemish under the circle M logo where some of the red came off and you see grey. However, since it’s a case, not a display piece, I can live with that slight defect.

That small blemish was the only downer.
That small blemish was the only downer.

Ultimately, would I recommend this case? Absolutely. It’s a bit on the pricier side in comparison to some other cases, but for an officially licensed case of this overall quality and capacity, it’s hard to beat.
