Is Lost Ark Primed for Success?

New games are often a dime a dozen – new titles release almost weekly at this point across a wide variety of different platforms and most are quite unremarkable, there are those that break the mold by offering something different or new as these casinos ohne oasis have become a very popular choice. In the MMORPG market, finding a game that grows over time rather than shrinks is even rarer, and for the newest western release published by Amazon Games, that seems to be exactly the case that could lead to this newer title just around the corner.

The game developed by Smilegate was first launched in Korea in 2019 and had a following release in Russia too alongside other markets like Japan, whilst the early portion of release had been on the rocky side the growth over time had been incredibly impressive so much so that it was the second most played game in PC Bangs in Korea only behind perhaps the most popular games in the world, League of Legends, and one of the few MMORPGs that has been able to grow throughout its life span showing a changing trend from many of the other big games.

Tackling a western release can be a difficult beast though, and something very different from the eastern audience – games in the east can tend to be much bigger time sinks with players not necessarily being as concerned about paying a premium for convenience so these may have been changes considered to ensure the game can survive in both Europe and North America, but if little change is made it may be the introduction of this type of game to an expectant and willing audience that don’t mind the additional cost for convenience or the grindy style gameplay.

There are hopes that Amazon Games had learned a lesson from its previous release of New World, however, as a wildly anticipated MMORPG developed in house it experienced lots of troubles on the server side with release, and with the publishing rights it is the servers that Amazon will be held responsible for with the Lost Ark release, it’s important that they’re able to get this right as the early days of release will be essential for the games success, particularly as the developers have decided to release a large amount of content above what had originally been launched with the game.

It’s going to be an exciting release nonetheless and could certainly be a huge title, but there will be some importance in getting things right in order for the game to succeed, particularly if both the publisher and developer are hoping for long term western success.
