Canned air dusters have only one speed and are wasteful and inefficient. The alternative is battery-powered air dusters. While relatively inexpensive, especially in comparison to regularly buying canned air dusters, these generic units are usually pretty bare bones and cheaply constructed. JisuLife, with their Handheld Fan Ultra2, takes the battery-powered air duster to the next level with a premium build and many more functions than simply blowing air well. It’s a tool you’ll be happy to own that’s capable of many different, and sometimes surprising, use cases.
Price and what’s included
The JisuLife Handheld Fan Ultra2 is available from Amazon or direct from JisuLife for a regular retail price of $89.99, although it’s often discounted for quite a bit less. It’s available in Light Brown or Dark Grey colorways. I’m reviewing the Dark Grey.

In the box, you get the handheld fan Ultra2, combination USB A and C to USB-C charging cable, cleaning brush, storage bag, lanyard, magnetic wind-concentrating round nozzle, magnetic wind-concentrating flat nozzle, magnetic brush, screwdriver, and manual.
Features and design: Premium throughout
As stated, it’s not just a fan. It’s more of a multi-tool. It can not only act as a personal fan for cooling and hair drying (at least in a pinch), and blow away all the dust in your keyboard and on your desk top, but it’s also powerful enough to inflate non-pressurized items like pool floats. It also features a spotlight that’s equivalent to a powerful smartphone flashlight, as well as a powerbank function to charge devices over USB-C.
It’s beautifully engineered like a precision gadget. I can’t stress enough how solid and well-balanced the fan feels in the hand, and how well-designed the various components are.

At the top rear is the air inlet and flashlight (spotlight). Below that is the USB-C charging port, which can also be used for the powerbank function. If you’d like to attach the included lanyard, the hole is at the very bottom.

On the left-hand side is the master power switch and flashlight button. On the front of the unit, at the top, is an LED display that shows battery percentage when charging, and power level when the fan is in use. It’s also where the air blows out, and the two included attachments magnetically attach. It’s a great system that’s both secure and super quick to swap out. There’s even a magnetic brush that snaps onto the business end of the wind-concentrating flat nozzle.

Below the LED display and fan is a stepless dial for adjusting the fan speed, as well as a power button (on or off) for the fan functionality. It’s all straightforward and intuitive.
Several of its features, like the magnetic accessories, physical power switch, and better thermal management, are notable improvements over the Ultra1. That makes the Ultra2 a no-brainer choice even if you see the earlier model on sale.
Performance: Fresh air
It’s no surprise that the star of the show, the fan functionality, works great. While I often set the fan speed to 100% to blow dust, I appreciate the ability to go as low as 1%, which still moves plenty of air. The stepless dial is smooth, with just enough resistance at points to let you stop pretty much where you want. For a powerful fan, it’s relatively quiet until around the 50% speed mark, but after that, it sounds more like a hair dryer on high with its high-pitched whine. Overall, it does a good job with wind noise management, especially at lower speeds, but don’t expect miracles.

You’ll get about 25 hours of battery life from the beefy 9,000mAh battery for general usage, which is around 20% speed. Realistically, expect about half that for more mixed usage. Fortunately, you can rapidly charge the Ultra2 in 2.5 hours with any charger that uses the QC or PD fast charging protocols. It worked great with my 180W GaN charger.
Should you buy the JisuLife Handheld Fan Ultra2?
It may seem silly to say, but I’m a huge fan of air dusters, particularly in regard to keeping my keyboards and desktops as dust-free as possible. With the Ultra2, I feel like I’ve found the one to rule them all. It’s like a precision instrument with a thoughtful and delightfully overengineered design that’s in sharp contrast to the cheaply-made battery-powered fans or annoying canned air dusters I’ve used in the past. It’s a great tool for your work and play space.
Score: 9 (out of 10) [Editor’s Choice]
