Best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Weapons

May 15, 2018 Posted by Jane Smith Editorial No Comments

In a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) the player has two major objectives. First, one can choose to either eliminate the other party or to allow the terrorist to plant the bomb where you have to defend it for 35 to 40 seconds until it explodes. The second option is to Counter the terrorist and defuse the bomb (but all these depends on the rules of the game.). However, to achieve either of these missions, you have to equip yourself with weapons to kill the enemy player and to gain kill rewards. There is a wide range of weapons but in most games, a player is only allowed to use one primary weapon, a secondary weapon and an additional melee weapon.

In the first round of these games, all players are equipped with knives and the fact about choosing a unique knife such as the Karambit Doppler is that it is the only weapon that a player cannot drop or pick. Other weapons such as pistol, shot guns, machine guns, and rifles can be dropped or picked up.

Five Best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Weapons

  • Melee Weapon
  • Pistol
  • Shot Guns
  • Machine Guns
  • Rifles

Melee Weapon

The only melee weapon used in CS:GO is the basic knife. The fact about the knife is that it is light which adds to the speed of the player and is also lethal when used at a close range. Since this is one weapon that the player has to use throughout the game, it is crucial to choose an effective knife such as the Karambit Doppler, which is a cosmetic knife. A knife, when used for primary attack, is fast but has low attack but when used for secondary attack, it is slow but has high attack.

Other examples of cosmetic knives used in CS:GO:

  • Bayonet
  • Karambit
  • Shadow Daggers
  • Gut Knife
  • Huntsman Knife
  • Falchion Knife

Some of the meaningful tactics when using a knife such as a Karambit Doppler in the game is that it is light which adds to the players’ speed especially when leaving a bombsite. Moreover, this weapon is suitable for breaking objects since it does not make unnecessary noise.

Pistol

These are secondary weapons which are light and are also cheap. They are mostly used at the beginning of the match, and their limiting factor is the minimal magazine capacity.

Some of these pistols include:

  • 228 Compact
  • KM Tactical.45
  • Night Hawk.50c
  • ES Five-Seven
  • 40 Dual Elites

Shot Guns

These are primary weapons and are quite cheap. They also have a high damage capacity since a single shot fire numerous hitscan pellets. However, its limitation includes range reduction and are quite heavy which affects the players’ speed.

The most utilized shotguns:

  • Leone YG1265 Auto Shotgun
  • Leone 12 Gauge Super

Machine Guns

These are primary weapons and are mostly used for defense since they have a large magazine capacity and fast firing rates. Nevertheless, they are expensive and very heavy which limits the players’ speed.

Examples of machine guns used:

  • M249
  • M60

Rifles

These are primary weapons which are quite expensive but have a high damage capacity. They are also fairly heavy which limits the players’ speed.

There are two types of rifles:

  • Sniper Rifles
  • Assault Rifles

Some of the weapons used in CS:GO are expensive and heavy which may be limiting to the player. Heavy weapons reduce the speed while not every player is able to afford the expensive weapons. However, using a knife such as the Karambit Doppler is sufficient since it is cheap and light. Moreover, the Karambit knife is customized to mimic the design of the in-game skins. The weight, finish and the grip of the knife is also incredible. The Karambit knife is also affordable and lethal.
