How Enjoyment And Being Productive Can Go Hand In Hand

February 19, 2019 Posted by Jonathan Adams Editorial No Comments

Many of us can barely get off the couch to start getting some work done or even our daily tasks. There is a reason why every social app is based on gamification, you post a picture, get likes and it’s like getting points in a game. This is how social apps get you addicted to them without you noticing. The art of gamification can turn a simple task into a fun game that your subconscious begs for more points. If you started using this technique in your daily life while adding some fun and enjoyment, there is a big chance that you will be able to beat the monster of procrastination. Gamification is proved to trigger dopamine and to alter our human psychology to work harder to achieve our goals. So how can you start being productive and lead a more-successful life by adding some fun to it?

In this article, we will show you how enjoyment can lead to productivity.

Video games might lead you to choose a career in science

Studies from the British Academy have established that being addicted to video games while growing up is more likely to lead you to pursue a degree in science or technology. Heavy gamer girls were proven to be the majority of the engineers and physicists today and they are the ones that go for a (PSTEM) degrees. If encouraged, your ‘geeky life’ might actually be the start of something bigger and more productive than your parents ever imagined, so keep on playing.

Design your own comfort zone

Gamers are demanding when it comes to interface design, the hours you spent on playing well-designed video games has led you to subconsciously pay attention to arts, the design, and artificial intelligence. Your creativity shouldn’t be only limited to, your working hours in the office or in school. Even in your house, you should have your own working space that you feel comfortable in, to unleash your creative thinking and imaginative mind. You can read, write, research and work on yourself and your knowledge or even play video games. With this design program, you can start putting your imagination of your room, office, kitchen, or any part of the house into a visual presentation that you can judge before you start redecorating. The awesome technique mentioned will not only help you see your imagination come into life, but it also saves you from redecorating your whole house just to discover that you are not happy with the results. It’s really awesome what technology nowadays can do.

Good times and Results

It is certainly not far fetched to assume that being productive and actually having a good time doing it can go hand in hand, especially in this technology dominated generation. Many video games and apps that can be downloaded on your mobile phone are actually a ton of fun while being extremely beneficial to your thought process and helps you in staying productive throughout your day, mapping out and settling in perfectly with your daily routine.
