June 10, 2020 Posted by Bill Loguidice News 4 Comments

Hot on the heels of the Legends Gamer going Pro and the reveal of the full-size Legends Pinball virtual pinball machine comes info on upcoming new first party accessories for the Legends Ultimate home arcade. You can watch the recording of the live stream that PDubs Arcade Loft and The Tech Buzz did after they received the info from their source, here:

To summarize, what’s incoming are a first party:

  • Light Gun
  • Racing Wheel
  • Cabinet Skins
  • LCD Marquee
  • Pinball Kit
  • Trackball Kit

All are indicated as compatible with the ecosystem, so that means some should also work with other products in the AtGames Legends Connected Home Arcade Series line-up, including the aforementioned Gamer. Reservations are expected to start on or about August 1, so more details should be available soon.

What ever became of the BitBlaster light gun and BitRacer racing wheel peripherals, especially the BitBlaster for which pre-orders began 8 months ago?

Parts shortage, so the BitBlaster is delayed a bit. The reservations will be converted to orders once it’s available.

Yesterday, the BitBlaster was removed from the E-Store. Does this mean AtGames is just stopping taking orders but still plans to fulfill its 9 months worth of reservations sometime in the future? Or, is this their way of saying that the item will never be produced?
Also, whatever happened to the BitRacer steering wheel? If there’s no hope for these first-party peripherals that were first revealed 6/10/20, what third-party options do you recommend?

This update was posted to AtGames social media and fan pages on April 19, 2021:

We thank you for your continued patience as we work through the supply issues that are impacting the global electronics industry. As you know, many of your favorite video game products, including those made by AtGames, are directly affected, resulting in limited inventory or production delays until availability of key components and other materials improves. With that in mind, we wanted to provide a status update on some of our upcoming products:

          1) Legends BitBlaster – Due to component shortages, we do not have an ETA for production at this time.

          2) Arcade Control Panel for Legends Pinball – Delivery has now begun and will follow a similar “waves” process as with the Legends Pinball, i.e., Wave 1, Wave 2, Wave 3, etc.

          3) Legends Ultimate Mini (Tetris Edition) – Due to component shortages, production is delayed, with delivery expected to begin around September.

          4) Legends Pinball – We will be announcing Wave 5 and Wave 6 reservations after Wave 4 is completed. Please be sure to sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the Legends Arcade Family website if you haven’t already to be informed about availability: https://www.atgames.net/arcades

          5) Legends GamePad – The first wave of orders will start to be fulfilled in early May.

          6) BitPixel – Shipments are expected to resume by the end of May.

We will continue to do everything we can to source components in a way that maintains our market-leading product value and quality, and re-establish regular product deliveries as soon as possible.

Please note that contacting support@atgames.net for product availability updates puts a burden on our limited resources and potentially delays technical and other product support for those who need it, so we kindly ask that you don’t use it for that purpose. We will continue to make public updates regarding availability as new information becomes available.
As always, we appreciate and value your understanding and support.
