Inspired from traditional Roly-Poly toy, EGGY is redesigned with a minimalistic feel and an added dose of cuteness. With this, we have found the perfect balance between art, toy and engagement (interactive). The concept is based on the ancient Japanese philosophy of “Okiagari” which means to get up and arise. Symbolically, this toy represents resilience, a quality which is so needed in today’s world.

It looks like a cute and fun idea and we’ll be keeping an eye on this product after the Kickstarter launches. In the mean-time, check out the following two videos that describe more of what Eggy is about:

Its case is quite nice.

At only 2.7 in (7 cm) across and being a single plane design, the LuckyBaby is amongst the smallest spinners. Spin time on a sub-max push (on its “good side,” see below) was timed at 4 minutes 3 seconds on my third spin. That spin time performance is above average.

The spinner has a unique look.

Because of its squat design, you feel the weight with this spinner more than others. It’s also rather noisy, particularly when not being used on a flat surface. This is not a great performer when held, with an odd center of balance.

The other quirk is that this is not a balanced, mirrored design, with it not spinning well and being noisy on a flat surface when placed on one side, and spinning well and not being noisy when placed on a flat surface on its other side.

Given its low price and radical styling, if you keep in mind its quirks, the LuckyBaby Fidget Spinner still rates as a fun recommendation.

Pluses:
– Good performance when placed on a flat surface (from one side)
– Interesting styling
– Unusual single plane design
– Low price
– Nice storage case

Minuses:
– Heavy
– Noisy
– Unbalanced when held
– Only spins well on one side

Summary:
Although it has its fair share of quirks, this spinner still delivers fun thanks to its unusual styling and low price.

It comes nicely packaged.

In terms of looks, the color is a truly vibrant blue. It’s rich, dark, and consistent. The spinner itself is solid, with ceramic bearings. The edges are well-machined and rounded.

What’s inside.

In terms of performance, the spin is very smooth with great balance. This is designed just right, which bore out in a spin time that exceeded 5 minutes in only my second sub-max spin.

Although featuring a purely pedestrian design, the SB Spinner Fidget Toy nevertheless delivers in all other areas. As the topper, the SB Spinner Fidget Toy is about half the price of most other premium spinners. So yes, for the price of a budget spinner with lower spin times, you can get this premium model with superior spin times.

– Vibrant coloring
– Smooth action
– Well-balanced
– Excellent build quality
– Long spin time
– Incredibly inexpensive

Minuses
– None

A premium spinner with super long spin time for very little money.

The packaging.

With an aluminum body and stainless steel center ball bearings, the Helect has a nice feel and notable heft. While this is not the cheapest spinner out there, you won’t feel cheated by the design.

The contents.

In terms of the most important fidget spinner indicator, the Helect was able to spin on only my second try for 4 minutes and 8 seconds with a sub-maximal push. That places this spinner at the upper end of the performance curve.

In use, the Helect felt well-balanced and stable. When spinning, the mechanism was smooth and quiet.

Despite its modest looks, the Helect delivers good quality and performance. It’s a fidget spinner worth looking into.

The packaging.

Unlike many spinners, the AMNIE FS108 Fidget Spinner is professionally packaged in an overwrapped cardboard box. Between that and the plastic form on the interior, this fidget spinner is likely to arrive in the top condition you would expect.

As you can see from the photos, the FS108 has an interesting design, with teardrop fins instead of the usual circular counterbalances. The front is accented with white on the interior of the fins, while the rear is all black. The whole spinner has a rubberized feel to it with a substantial heft missing from many other spinners.

The proof with a spinner, however, is in fact how well it spins. In that regard, the FS108 spins beautifully. Thanks to its clearly premium build quality and weight, as well as a smooth mechanism, it’s able to spin for several minutes – in fact 3 minutes and 53 seconds with a sub-max push – putting in at least a minute or two longer than many other spinners I’ve tried. And thanks to the reversible white/black on the front/back, you get twice the visual spin effects for the price. This definitely ranks amongst the best spinners on the market.

The package/case.

The spinner.

Available in metallic Black, Blue, and Rose Gold colors, the latter of which I’m reviewing, the AIRWALKS spinner complements its bold color choices with a unique design. While most spinners have a central pivot point and then three counter balances, the AIRWALKS leaves its three “wings” solid. This allows the AIRWALKS to be much smaller than other spinners at only 2.48 inches long at each extremity, and a weight of about 30 grams.

Unfortunately, while AIRWALKS claims a spin time of over 3 minutes, in my testing, we barely got a minute. The spin action didn’t feel particularly balanced or smooth, nor was it silent. In fact, it was quite noisy. While it’s easy to remove the concave finger grips, I could see no obvious signs of obstruction to account for the poor performance. Given the price point and the variety of other options available, the unique design and complementary storage case don’t make up for its shortcomings.

– Noisy
– Not as smooth as other spinners
– Relatively high price

Summary:
Although offering a unique look, the AIRWALKS spinner’s performance is a let-down.

The box.

Fortunately, my experience with this particular commercial product has been excellent. Now, don’t get me wrong. While I’m almost as fascinated by mechanical gadgets as I am electronic gadgets, this type of device had the most appeal to my two oldest daughters, ages 10 and 12, who put it through its paces and then some. They couldn’t get enough of it, to the point where they characteristically fought over who got to use it next and for how long.

Inside the box.

The CKK spinner features hybrid Si3N4 ceramic bearings along with three counter-balancing bearings. Two center caps provide the pivot point. Simply translated, when you grab it at the center and give it a push, it spins quickly, smoothly, and for an extended duration. Of course, while I did my best to describe it, seeing it in action in the video is perhaps the best way to see how well this works.

If you’re looking for a quality fidget spinner at a reasonable price, this is a fantastic option. It’s definitely recommended if this is the type of device you need for attention deficit and related disorders or just something cool to mess around with.
