Review: Feelle 6-Outlet Power Strip with 6 USB Charging Ports

May 8, 2016 Posted by Bill Loguidice Review 3 Comments

Feelle makes a useful range of combination multistrip AC power and USB charging outlets. There’s a three USB, three outlet model, an eight USB and six outlet model, and a six USB and six outlet model, the latter of which is the one I’m reviewing.

The box.

The box.

As stated, besides the six AC outlets, there are six USB charging outlets. Two of the USB outlets are 5V/2.4A for larger devices like tablets (or for faster charging of smaller devices that allow for that), and the other four are 5V/1A.

The whole strip is rated for loads up to 1625W/13A, complete with overload protection. There’s also the expected surge protection and other standard safety features.

The overall design is excellent.

The overall design is excellent.

As you can see from the photos, the spacing between the AC and USB outlets is fairly generous. A nearly six foot cord rounds out the notable feature-set. If you’re looking for a good, versatile power strip, the Feelle makes a fine choice.

Thanks to Feelle for the discounted review unit.

Thanks for the review. It looks like a useful item. I learned some time back to carry a power strip or two when traveling, as hotels just never seemed to have enough outlets to plug things into. One hotel I deal with renovated a while back, and the renovation included more outlets in guest room *and* USB charging ports. Now if the others will do that…

The charging ports included on this one eliminate one issue on normal power strips of finding ways to plug everything in when some power adapters for devices slop over onto adjacent outlets.

A tech list I’m on recently provided a pointer the “The power strip from hell”. It’s an actual product and obviously has a market, but I can’t imagine needing one: http://www.interpower.com/cgi-bin/ic.cgi/p50form.p?w_part=85010290

It *is* a handy example of every type of outlet in use in one component. 🙂

I agree. I don’t travel much anymore, but when I do, I have a goodie bag with various helpful items. A good multi-strip should be one of them.

I can’t imagine that strip you linked to having much use outside of testing facilities, but there’s some beauty to its insanity.

I don’t travel a lot. But my SO and I realized we lived the connect lifestyle. My laptop, her laptop, my tablet, her tablet, my cell phone, her cellphone, digital camera…enough to merit a separate bag with power strips, chargers, cables, and other tech miscellany. We have luggage, and our devices have luggage. Next step is for our deices to travel without us, and they can deal with lost luggage…

The power strip I posted led to a fascinating discussion of who used what kind of outlet, and why. One poster lives in Australia. Their plug design derives from an older and no longer used US notion.
