Reminiscent of the legendary Apple Wireless Keyboard, the 1byone Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard features a lower price point ($19.99) and design and styling that fits better into more ecosystems beyond just Apple’s. In fact, the 1byone Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard has built-in shortcuts for Android, Windows, and iOS, and has pairing that can be switched between all three with the press of the appropriate function key and letter combination.

Further distinguishing itself from Apple’s offering, which requires batteries, is the 1byone Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard‘s built-in 280mA lithium battery. It’s quick to charge and provides for about four months of standby and 90 hours of continuous usage. Because the power is self-contained, it’s also slightly smaller than Apple’s iconic keyboard, with a height of 1.4cm/0.55in, length of 28.2cm/11.1in, and depth of 13.5cm/5.31in. Needless to say this is a keyboard you can easily take with you just about anywhere.

Pairing with my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 was easy. I just slid on the keyboard’s discrete power button (another nice feature) and pressed FN+C until the keyboard’s light started blinking. My Surface Pro 3 saw “1byone Keyboard” in its listing and I told it to pair. Simple.

As for the all important feel, I had no notable issues typing on it, other than the usual learning curve that comes with a new keyboard. The keys are sufficiently springy and responsive, making for a pleasant portable typing experience.
Thanks to 1byone for the review unit.
